My motifs for M. Legere appear as torn paper, where I focus on visualizing invisible forces as gravity, magnetism and rays of light. Bright thin lines and arranged dots in the style of mathematical graphs depict these immaterialities and point out that all matter is in a continuous interrelation.
As an artist, I use shapes, colours, canvasses, collages, objects, and materials like oil, paper, cardboard, and copper. My work delves in scientific experiments and discoveries as in the universally-applicable laws of nature like electromagnetism, gravity, and disciplines and topics such as optics, vacua, astronomy and space. It fathoms the boundaries and intersections between the creative fields of art and science. In both disciplines - art and science – there are strong parallels, not just in the power of observation, but in the unconditional thirst for knowledge and truth and creative urge.


Angelika Trojnarski is an artist based in Düsseldorf and is a part of Berlin’s gallery world, being represented by Berlin’s Galerie Tanja Wagner. She is a graduate of the Private Academy of Fine Arts, Essen, Germany; and a Masterclass student of Jorg Immendorff, Markus Lupertz, and Andreas Gursky at the Adademy of Fine Arts (Kunstakademie Düsseldorf) in Düsseldorf.
Her professional background is rich with solo and group exhibitions, hard won prizes and grants, and published monographs and catalogues. In the U.S., she has exhibited her work in New York City, Los Angeles, and Dallas. She also exhibits regularly in Düsselfdorf and Berlin.
